The Trails
Click here to see the Trail Map
You may notice that we have several different trails in the Sanctuary.
Below is a short explanation of these trails.
The Freedom Trail, a paved, barrier free trail, is located adjacent
to the parking lot.
Red-The main trail loop, this trail is four miles long and moderately difficult.
Blue- These trails connect one trail to another, usually the red trail to the
Green trail. These trails are easily navigable.
Yellow-The most difficult and the most beautiful trail in the sanctuary.
This trail, also called the Flower Bowl and the Pioneer Road to the River, is very steep.
Green-Our easiest trails, the green trails traverse the meadows.
White-These short trails connect the red trail to points of interest
(Overlook, Evans Mill, Lime Kiln, etc.)
